FASHION REVOLUTION 2020
This week, to celebrate Fashion Revolution we would like to show you our favourite garments this season. Fashion revolution day is on the anniversary of the Rana Plaza factory collapse, which killed 1,138 people and injured many more in 2013, this day encourage millions of people to come together to campaign for systemic change in the fashion industry.
B.C. before corona, we had a whole lot of fun working on our Autumn/Winter 20 collection. With every collection we do, we aim for more versatility and longevity of every garment we create. We are about slow fashion, we want to create collections that focus on style, not trends. We use absolutely no synthetics or polyester and only use natural fabrics, it is challenging as we are quite limited with fabric choices and availability in South Africa.
Here they are:
The Field dungaree, a classic linen dungaree, can we worn throughout the year, paired with a sweater in winter or a tank in summer.
The Pip pants in cotton sateen, a breathable fabric, can be worn throughout the year and have a bottom detail on the ankle so can be worn tapered leg or wide leg, depending on your preference.
The Katsi dress in cotton poplin, can be worn with tights and boots on colder days and with sandals in summer.
My absolute favourite style this season is the ACDC jacket. Cotton poplin outer and a cotton interlining, this jacket is reversible, so it is a 2 in 1 and made to last!
